Welcome

Faversham is regarded as one of England’s most charming and historic market towns. Nestling between the rural beauty of the rolling Downs and the sweeping flatlands of the north Kent marshes, the town is both a lively, modern community and a heritage treasure.

The Arts Society, Faversham (formerly Faversham Decorative and Fine Arts Society) was started in 1982 to provide those who live in and around Faversham with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the Arts. We continue to achieve this by providing an excellent programme of illustrated lectures given by experts in their fields, by organising study days on specialist topics and by arranging visits to museums, galleries, country houses and other places of cultural interest.
